8.5km Top of ICB Tunnel Hill Entertainment

Bump in: 5:30am – 6:15am

Performance time: 6:30-11:15am

Runners on course: 6:30-11:15am

Bump out time: 11:30am or as soon as the last walker passes your lcoation

Road Reopens: 12:30pm

Parking/Access: To get to your position you will be given access to drive your private vehicle onto a closed road – Abbotsford Road. Please park your vehicle behind the barrier (so runners can’t see your vehicle) as seen below. We will need you to display an official vehicle sticker on your car. Please do not drive onto Kingsford Smith Drive where participants are running. Make sure you’ve completed the vehicle access pass.

This road will be closed from 3am – 12:30pm. You must be in position by 5:45am at the latest as there is strictly no movement on course after this.

Site Rules

  • Please ensure that public safety is paramount at all times
  • Any marquees self-erected on site must have enough weights in place for safety. Pegging into the grassed area or tying off surrounds objects is NOT allowed. If marquees are not secured, event organisers will ask for them to be removed. If you do not have weights, please contact the event organisers to arrange hire of weights.
  • You are responsible for providing your own electrical leads and ensuring they have up to date test and tagging compliance. Power will only be available to those who have requested and pre-arranged with the event organisers.
  • Please ensure where possible you practice the best environmentally sustainable practices with reducing waste, reusing where possible and recycling recyclable produces into the recycling bins
  • Please ensure you provide appropriate safety items for your activation staff including sunscreen, hats, ponchos, hand sanitiser, masks, etc
  • When bumping out it is your responsibility to ensure that all equipment used is packed away and rubbish is disposed of in the appropriate manner

Medical

  • Medical staff will be onsite during the Event Day activities.  Should your staff or any participants require medical assistance please report to the 1300Medics tent or advise one of the event staff.
  • You can also call the medical hotline which is: 0421 003 720
  • In the event of an emergency, always call 000
  • If you need medical assistance outside during bump in please contact the venue manager or if it’s an emergency please call 000.

Suspicious Behaviour

  • In the unlikely event of any suspicious behaviour please alert the event team as soon as possible or the nearest security team member.
    1. Suspicious behaviour can be from the participants or the general public, and can be anything from a bag or backpack left unattended or wearing a large jacket in warm weather or even a person acting irritated.
    2. If you find an unattended bag/backpack
      1. Ask if anyone owns it
      2. If no one does, do not touch it
      3. Alert others to keep away
      4. Contact the venue coordinator as soon as possible and they will alert the appropriate people.
