State Championship Overview
This is a stand alone event from the series with more great prizes up for grabs. Don’t let the title scare you, while it’s a Championship event you don’t have to have competed in any other rounds to participate and all skill levels are welcome. We will also be awarding our Series winners after the race so make sure you check your ranking and are in attendance to collect your award.
U13 and E-Bike’s have been added to the category list for this event so there’s something for everyone! The State Championships is all about having a great time so even if your not participating come out and cheer on the riders.

Garapine is located at 24 Mountainview Road, Gympie. Follow the Bruce Highway, turn into Traveston-Crossing Road and Mountainview Road is on your left. The Event Village is located within walking distance from the car parking area.
Accommodation is available on Friday and Saturday nights onsite at the newly refurbished Garapine.
The accommodation facilities are a bit like staying at a backpackers (or going on school camp) with shared bunk-rooms and shared bathrooms. There are a total of 12 bunk rooms, each with their own bathroom featuring 2 showers and a separate toilet. Each bunk room sleeps up to 10 people. Bunk rooms have a mix of single size bunk beds and single beds.

PLEASE NOTE: No Camping is allowed onsite but there is a local camping site availalble in Amamoor. Gympie is the nearest town centre with a range of motel accommodation options.

The race village is located at Jubilee Park. The park is accessible via car from the Warrego Highway. A map with directions is available HERE. More information about the Park and access is available on the Toowoomba MTBC website.
If you are looking at flying in for this event, Toowoomba has recently opened a new airport with direct flights from Sydney. The other nearest airport is Brisbane which is approximately 2 hours’ drive away.
Toowoomba has a range of accommodation options to suit every budget. There is limited accommodation at the bottom of the range however Toowoomba itself is only 20 minutes’ drive from the event site.
BBQ items and cold drinks will be available for purchase at the event village. Toilets (Port-a-loos) will also be located in the village and at the top of Harvey Street.
The Withcott hotel is close to the event venue and does a wide range of counter meals.
Mount Joyce Event Village is located approximately 1.5km from the event carpark in Secret Valley. Please allow additional time to walk/ride to the village once parked.
Vehicle access from the carpark to the village is restricted to event vehicles. Entrance to the carpark is via the Wyaralong Damgates off Beaudesert-Boonah Rd, Bromelton.

Toilets (Port-a-loos) will also be located in the village.
Mt Joyce is approximately 1 hour drive from Brisbane and makes an easy day trip however if you are travelling from further afield and want to stay close to the trails Camping options are available at Wyralong Dam, for information head to the SEQ Water Website. Hotel/Motel options are also available nearby in Beaudesert.
For the first time, the series will travel to Rockhampton. This will also include the Australia National Gravity Enduro Series Round 4. Find out more about the National Series here.
Late entries will be available on Saturday and Sunday mornings from the Race Village.
PLEASE NOTE: As the Rockhampton Round forms part of the MTBA National Enduro Series, Entry for this will be via the MTBA online registration system. Points will be awarded towards the SHIMANO Enduro Series. If you purchased a ‘Series Entry’ you will still need to enter this event separately.
Saturday July 8
9:00 – 3:00, Registration and Official Practice. Riders must have a number plate on to practice
Sunday July 9
8:30-10:10, Riders set off in waves of 4 every 4/5 minutes. Start times can be selected at registration on Saturday. All stages are to be done in order from 1 through to 6 being the last stage.
14:30, Presentations (earlier if all riders off course earlier)
Round 4 will take place at the First Turkey Mountain Bike Reserve. Entrance to car parking is off German St near the corner of Sunset Drive.

Rockhampton is approximately a 7hr drive from Brisbane and 3hrs from Mackay. Rockhampton also has it’s own airport with flights operating to Brisbane, Gladstone, Mackay, Townsville, Cairns and the Gold Coast.
Rockhampton has a wide range of accommodation styles to suit all budgets.
As with all rounds food and drinks will be available for purchase at the event village thanks to the Rocky MTB club and toilets will be located at the event village as will water. Please take in all your own water and snacks and bring out all rubbish.
